Romantics - Festive 2021
Raw mango
Romantics, Raw Mango’s 2021 Festive Collection, drew mainly from 18th century European textile history as well as historical references like Rococo paintings and Romantic literature. The campaign explores Romanticism as a mindset through a set of characters who embodies the bohemian spirit of a generation and their delirious departure from conventions celebrating freedom, idealism and friendship.
We named the collection and helped lay a creative and conceptual framework for the campaign and its photography, besides developing a campaign identity that tread the fine lines between the classical and the kitsch.
For the campaign and the promotional materials, spreading across social media graphics, look-book, and other collaterals, a restrained pairing of ornamental and modern typefaces with the heady neon lime colour—offset against dark and moody imagery—creates a language that reflects both the flamboyance and decadence of the world the campaign is set in.
